They're not exactly the first animal you'd think of when milking comes to mind, but sure enough, several public figures in the community milked some goats in the name of friendly competition.

25 years ago, Jeremy Bright seemingly vanished from the streets of Myrtle Point. On August 14th, his family and friends gathered to mark the anniversary of his disappearance and to call for answers.

A quarter century ago this Sunday, Jeremy Bright set off for the Coos County Fair. He was never seen again.

Sponsored by the Masonic Lodges of Coos County, this program provides each parent with a full ID Kit of their sons or daughter's vital information readily in hand, in the event of an unfortunate emergency.

The theme this year is "Stirrup Summer Fun," with a nod towards the heavy 4-H and Rodeo influence, but organizers say there is plenty to do and see for the whole family.
